The NUOVA IDROPRESS S.p.A. expanded polystyrene block cutting lines cover a range that goes from the semi-automatic compact machine to entirely automatic machines complete with multiple block stores to differentiate block storage before cutting, machines to form packs of sheets, packing machines and palletizing machines to position the packed sheets on pallets.
The cutting system may be the conventional type with hot wires or with oscillating hot wires (NIP system) ensuring a lower consumption of material, higher cutting speeds (up to 4 m./min.), precision and linearity of the surfaces.
An automatic speed control is available to optimize the block feed speed while cutting into sheets in relation to the precise characteristics of the material in the block.
The machines are equipped with a fast wire bar changeover system: a single operator can easily do the replacement in less than 1 minute.
Collecting, grinding and transferring the block scrap can be automated.
